The shrine is in use till date and has an underground reservoir that has healing powers and has never gone dry.
Adjacent to Khanpur is Ahmedabad’s iconic Sidi Saiyyid ni Jali, that was built in the 14th century. The mosque is an architectural marvel built entirely with arches and has exquisite latticework on the side and rear arches.
Khanpur is a secular area, with communities from various religious, class and caste backgrounds. It is near to the main markets in the city and is populated with luxury and semi-luxury hotels.
