Wash Care

  • Washing: Wash garments by hand or on a gentle cycle in cold water with a mild, eco-friendly detergent. Avoid bleach to protect fabric and color.
  • Drying: Air dry by laying flat or hanging. Avoid direct sunlight, which can cause fading. For machine washing, a high spin cycle helps remove excess water.
  • Ironing/Steaming: Iron on a low-heat setting. For best results, place a cloth between the iron and the garment, or steam instead of ironing to protect the fabric.
  • Storage: Store garments in a cool, dry place. Use padded hangers for dresses and coats to maintain their shape.

Specific Fabric and Item Care

  • Natural Dyes: Wash these items separately, as color bleeding is normal initially. Avoid bleach and direct sunlight. Iron or steam on warm heat.
  • Dry Clean Only: Only clean these garments when necessary. Use an environmentally friendly dry cleaner that does not use perchloroethylene (perc) and declines plastic covers.
  • Machine Washing: Wait for a full load and use a cold water setting with a natural, biodegradable detergent.
  • Minimizing Washing: Spot clean small marks and air out clothes to refresh them, as natural fibers have antibacterial properties.
  • Cashmere: Hand wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent. Gently squeeze out water; do not wring or twist. Roll in a towel to dry, then lay flat. Avoid direct heat and sunlight.
  • Wool: Dry clean or hand wash in cold water. Do not tumble dry, as color may run.

Additional Tips

  • Wringing: Do not wring or twist delicate fabrics, as this can damage fibers and alter the garment's shape.
  • Tumble Drying: Avoid tumble drying delicate items.
  • Ironing: Iron garments inside out to prevent shin
